Cheyenne
I just think it's worth noting how he handled this. He was very thoughtful.
First, after the injection, we sat together; Jim, Sydney and I. Cheyenne was sleeping, Sydney was sobbing, and I was wondering if I had made a mistake. Jim talked to us about dogs.
(Anyone who does not like dogs should stop reading this now...And I know this is a theological can of worms, but so what.)
Jim said he thinks dogs display something of the character of God. What? Unconditional love. We talked about that for a minute before we left his office.
Then a couple days later we got a card from his office. That was nice. And now, three weeks later we got a notification that Jim had made a contribution in Cheyennes honor to a veterinary group that cares for animals were there is no money or personnel available.
I just think Jim has been very kind.
