Hey Charlie!! :-)

A new law goes into effect in China (that's almost home, buddy) which forbids "dog" on restaurant menus...just in time for the summer Olympics. (They thought it would look bad, since they are concerned with their image.) Looks like it's back to squid on a stick! Yum. (he eats that (squid) folks, I have pictures!) :-)

Apple Sucks!!

Yeah, I know...I love the App Store (check my last post), but Apple does suck, and I don't just mean the stock price this week (down $10 ouch!)...What I mean is you can forget buying a G3. They didn't make enough to keep up with the demand, and all the hype (which they created). Why would they do that? Is this smart? Are they making people want them more because they are scarce; or are they pissing people off, so they can't wait for a competitive product? I wonder if it is a production mess that they are trying to spin as more demand than they anticipated...I don't know...but people are not happy, I know that.

The Apps Store

There has been a lot of rant about this new iPhone feature so I thought I'd weigh in as well.

OMG, it's AMAZING! This feature transforms the iPhone from a really cool gadget into a riot in your pocket. How's that for a description? (I know, cheesy.) It's been a blast. I've downloaded (mostly free) functions which are extremely useful and (as always with Apple) easy to use. My phone is now a complete Bible (easier to navigate than opening the book itself), game console, radio, flashlight (yup, with strobe), news resource (including up to date videos from all networks), Weather Bug, Yellow Pages (with added functionality including finding your location and giving directions to the business you may be looking for), nutrition information for fast food restaurants (and directions to them, if you still want to go), Spanish lessons (including audio), a "WHERE" function which finds anything you can dream up, (it also finds other iPhone users, if permission is given, say for a family, or friends), and most important, a function which makes the phone a light saber...yes...OB1.

Of course there is more...like special Google functions, etc, but I'm done. Best yet, they can add new ideas as well as update current ones. The apps take little to no room on the units hard drive. Unbelievable.

Apple makes amazing machines.
I think I'll get a Mac as my next computer...happy Charlie?

Sadie

Our dog is shaping up real well. She is friendly, pretty well behaved, and mostly housebroke. We still need to work with the leash (she pulls). Here we are playing fetch. She cracks me up when she runs. She is only 5 months old, and still not very coordinated.

Everything is Google

I have gmail now. But it reconfigured my log in info for all other things Google. That includes blogger, so I'm having trouble logging on at all. I don't think anyone reads this anyhow, Sean and Charlie occasionally. But I like to post, and vent...like the stupidity post. Anyhow, I am posting from my hand held, I can't access blogger from my laptop now. Hmmm. So...uh... the car might not be as bad as I thought, and Jen really likes it. I still should not have phased out of the buying process. Hell of a leader, huh. I think I'm over the air headedness. Is that a word? So, I might post from here if Google doesn't reconfigure this hand held as well. If that happens, I'll quit or start another blog...maybe.

Stupidity

I've had a stupid streak lately. It pisses me off. I let my 16 yr old daughter buy her first car with out my driving it, or checking it out. Well, I just got a ride. It's junk. What was I thinking! Who is going to pay for the inevitable repairs! Mr. Stupid, that's who. Ugh.
It runs loose, it rattles, there is no oil cap!, and the oil pressure is low. And no one asked for a car fax! Ahhh!!
Then twice in one day I went to stores where I had in store credits to use, and "forgot" at the last minute and paid cash. It was not a lot of money, but I hate it. I hate it when I'm an air head. It's happened before, this is not the first time. I get stressed out, or distracted, or hell if I know what happens!
Anyhow, this current mentality will pass. And by some miracle the car will hold together...and trust me, it will be a miracle...god...Grrr.
Posting this is might also be stupid. Maybe I'll delete it in the morning.
